Sketchy Abstraction Lessons:
These lessons were developed for an OLLI class to teach adults approaches to creating abstract sketches. Artistic ability is not a prerequisite . I hope your sketching experience will be enhanced by this course. A small part of The course includes 8 lessons on the art "isms" which resulted in abstraction. They depend heavily on links to web resources. There are also sketching exercises for each "ism". Since the objective is to develop the skill of abstract sketching, there is a video for each lesson exploring how Art Child goes about creating an abstract sketch. These are not directly related to the history of the lessons "ism". See videos listed below these lessons.

Sketchy Abstraction VIDEOS:
These VIDEOS show ART CHILD drawing Sketchy Abstracts. Each video shows how Art develops sketchy abstracts going from a blank sheet and using different starting scenarios, develops finished sketches.. Try the different scenarios offered and see what you end up with. Artistic ability is not a prerequisite. It is hoped these exercises will enhance your sketching experience.
